Flat Rock Cellars
Founded in 1999, the Flat Rock Cellars is located along the Jordan Bench, in the picturesque Niagara Escarpment. The Winery is a modern glass encased hexagonal building that is both distinctive and fun. From the winery guests can enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding peninsula and the view of Toronto across Lake Ontario.
The vineyard is located on the rolling hills of the bench and combines prefect terroir with ideal topography to replicate the soils of the vineyards in Burgundy, France. The 80 acre vineyard comprises of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Riesling and Gewurztraminer. The winemaker’s strategy at Flat Rock Cellars is to produce the low yields of wine with high quality, usually a maximum of 15,000 cases.
