Save the dates, one of Niagara Falls’ most spectacular events has been announced! The 2021/2022 Winter Festival of Lights will transform Niagara Falls into a winter wonderland beginning November 13, 2021 and running through February 21, 2022. The Festival has nearly doubled in length this year, and will brighten the night for an incredible 101 nights.
Also new this year, is that the event will be presented in two parts, and will feature 28 new light displays (20 added in 2020 and 8 more this year).
The annual Niagara Falls tradition is Canada’s largest FREE outdoor light festival. More than 75 light displays and more than 3 million lights adorn locations throughout the tourist district and a 6km section of the Niagara River Parkway including Dufferin Islands, and Queen Victoria Park.
Timeless installations will be on display and will be joined by 3D animals, fairy tale castle and a light tunnel.
Displays November 13-January 9 will feature popular 3D animals and holiday themed displays including giant gingerbread house, 20 foot Polar Bear and 8 new displays.
From January 10-February 21, love themed displays will take centre stage, 3D animals from Dufferin Islands will pop-up magically in other locations, and holiday themed installations will be replaced with new illuminations.
Just announced: fireworks are returning to Niagara Falls for a limited time to add to the magic of the holiday season. Experience brilliant displays light the sky over the Falls from December 26-January 1 at 10:00pm each night, with TWO displays on New Year’s Eve (9pm and midnight).
