The Tunnel at Niagara Parks
July 1 is the official opening of Niagara Parks’ newest attraction; The Tunnel at Niagara Parks Power Station. The fascinating attraction takes guests deep below the generating station’s main floor via a glass-paneled elevator to a never seen before underground world. Guests will learn about the 100-year old station and the 2,200 foot long tunnel which once expelled spent water from hydroelectric process back into the river. The end of The Tunnel reveals a newly built viewing platform at the edge of the Niagara River where guests will experience unprecedented panoramic views of the Falls. Winners were announced at the Storytellers Gala in New York and ‘Alessia Cara – Live from Niagara Falls’ proudly took home gold for the Branded Documentary category. The New York Festivals TV & Film Awards honours content of all lengths and forms from over 50 countries and embraces all aspects of the Television and Film industries.
The hour-long TV special and media campaign debuted last summer with the Ontario-born artist and showcased new music, intimate rearrangements of her chart-topping songs, and vulnerable interviews filmed in breathtaking locations in Niagara Falls. One of the most intimate performances was created on a custom-built set at the Sheraton Fallsview Hotel, and was designed to capture the intimacy of the acoustic version of her single “Sweet Dream” which was about to be released. Additional performances included Oakes Garden, and aboard Niagara City Cruises.
The partnership between Alessia, Niagara Falls Tourism and media partner Zerotrillion was launched while travel restrictions were in place, and the combination of the scenery of the Canadian side of Niagara Falls and music sparked conversations about traveling to Niagara Falls. The result of the creative partnership aired in August across Canada, and was released internationally on her YouTube channel, and U.S. TV Outlets such as MTV and the Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Sheraton Fallsview is excited to welcome Breakfast Television back to Niagara Falls!
The lively, Toronto-based morning show is planning an exciting kick-off to Summer show, live from Niagara Falls on Friday, May 20th.
The show will be broadcast bright and early from Oakes Garden Theatre with scenic views of the Falls as a spectacular backdrop. The event is scheduled for 6:00am to 10:00am, and will have free entertainment, fantastic giveaways and is your chance to see the BT family in person!

The Niagara Falls Music Live series is coming back this spring! In celebration of Canadian Music Week, and on the heels of the success of the inaugural event in December, a three-day event has been announced for June 9, 10, 11, 2022.
The spring edition will feature more than 50 live shows, in 20 venues around Niagara Falls and makes for an exciting Niagara Falls getaway for music lovers. Featuring both ticketed and non-ticketed shows, the series is an exciting mix of concerts and intimate performances across musical genres. From rock to jazz, Niagara Falls Music Live encourages visitors to indulge in live music from some of Canada’s most talented musicians in the newly designated Music City.
Venues for the June 9-11 event include Niagara Brewing Company, Hard Rock Cafe Patio and the Lobby Lounge at Marriott on the Falls which is located directly across from the Niagara Falls Convention Centre to name a few. Admission is FREE to attend performances at these locations.
The series will close on June 11th with a headlining show at the Niagara Falls Convention Centre featuring Big Wreck with Special Guests Texas King. A mainstay on rock radio, Big Wreck’s dynamic sound moves from hard rock to anthemic post-grunge with ease. Certified double platinum in Canada, their chart-topping singles “Blown Wide Open”, “That Song” and “The Oaf” make for an engaging rock show.
